Te mapa
Gaya is a town in the Dosso Region in south-western Niger, on the left bank of the Niger River. It sits close to where Niger, Benin and Nigeria meet, and it has long been a trading and crossing point. A bridge carries the main road over the river to Malanville in Benin, which makes Gaya an important stop on the route to the coast.
The map is shaped by the river. The Niger bends broadly past the town, with sandbanks and a green floodplain along its banks. The town's streets spread out from the road leading to the bridge, forming a loose grid of compounds and markets set back from the water.
A Gaya map poster shows this link between water and road: a wide river, the bridge crossing it and the town gathered on the northern bank. It is a map about movement and borders as much as about a place.

Koteā ko Gaya
For people from Gaya, and for anyone who has travelled this route between Niger and Benin, this map marks a real crossroads. The river gives the poster a strong, flowing line that suits large print sizes.
Personalise the title and subtitle, in French or English, and set the coordinates line. Sand suits the Sahel landscape, Blueprint makes the river crisp, and Classic black & white keeps the whole map clean and understated.
