Te mapa
Gushikawa was a city on the eastern side of central Okinawa Island until 2005, when it merged with neighbouring municipalities to form Uruma. The name still marks a distinct district. On a map it shows as a band of low-rise neighbourhoods spread across gentle slopes between the island's central hills and the coast.
The shoreline is the defining line of the composition, a shallow curve of coast with small harbours and reclaimed edges. Inland, streets wind more than they run straight, following the rolling ground and the patchwork of fields and housing typical of this part of Okinawa. Main roads link the district with the rest of Uruma and with Okinawa City next door.
The Katsuren Peninsula and the causeway that carries a road out to the offshore islands lie just beyond, and both are part of the same municipality today. A Gushikawa map poster focuses on the district itself, a quiet, lived-in coast rather than a resort strip. The fine lines suit people with family roots here or memories of a posting on the island.
The coast forms a long, gentle curve along the bay. The contrast between open water and dense residential streets gives the map its strongest edge.
Inland roads bend with the terrain instead of forming a strict grid. The result is a softer, more organic network typical of central Okinawa.
To the east, streets lead toward the Katsuren Peninsula, a reminder that Gushikawa is now one part of a larger municipality that reaches out into the sea.

Koteā ko Gushikawa
For people who grew up in Gushikawa, or who lived in central Okinawa for a few years, the district's name still carries its own weight after the merger. A map keeps that older identity visible, which makes it a thoughtful gift for relatives or friends back home.
Set the title to Gushikawa, Uruma or anything else that fits, add a date in the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Order them as digital files or a printed poster.
