Te mapa
Harajuku lies in Shibuya ward, between Shinjuku and Shibuya, and its map is built on a sharp contrast. To the west, the forest of Meiji Jingu and the open lawns of Yoyogi Park form one of the largest green areas in central Tokyo. To the east, a compact web of streets fills the ground between the railway and Aoyama.
The JR Yamanote Line runs north to south along the edge of the forest, with Harajuku Station close to the shrine entrance. From there, Takeshita Street cuts a narrow, straight path through the blocks. Omotesando runs as a wide avenue lined with zelkova trees towards Aoyama. The smaller lanes behind them, often called Ura-Harajuku, fill the gaps in a finer pattern.
In recent decades Harajuku has become known internationally for youth street fashion, and Omotesando has filled with flagship stores by well-known architects. Meiji Jingu, dedicated in 1920, remains a calm counterweight next door. A Harajuku map poster puts both worlds in one frame: the solid mass of the forest and the dense line work of the shopping streets.
The shrine grounds form a large, quiet shape on the western side of the map, crossed by only a few wide paths leading to the main shrine buildings.
This broad avenue runs from near the shrine entrance towards Aoyama. It is one of the most legible lines on the map, flanked by trees and larger building plots.
A narrow shopping street runs straight from near Harajuku Station. Its short, dense line contrasts with the wide avenue running roughly parallel to it.

Koteā ko Harajuku
Harajuku appeals to people who remember a first trip to Tokyo, to fashion lovers and to anyone who has lived near Yoyogi. The balance between forest and streets makes the print feel composed, with a natural focal point on each side.
