Houqiao Map Poster & Print
Houqiao is a town in Tengchong, in the far west of Yunnan, close to the border with Myanmar. The country around it is mountainous and heavily forested. On the map, the built area follows the valley floor: streets run along the lower ground, and roads wind up and away through the hills in several directions.
The town is known as a border crossing, one of the ports linking Yunnan with northern Myanmar, and its roads reflect that role. A main route runs toward the frontier, and the town's shopping streets are gathered along it. The wider Tengchong area is known for volcanic landscapes and hot springs, but the map keeps its focus on the streets.
