Te mapa
Huayin sits at the eastern end of the Guanzhong plain in Shaanxi, where the flat farmland of the Wei River valley meets the steep northern face of the Qinling range. The town's streets form a modest grid on level ground, and the mountains begin almost immediately to the south. That gives the map a strong horizontal division between plain and peaks.
The town is known for Huashan, one of China's Five Great Mountains. Its granite summits are famous for steep stairways cut into the rock and narrow cliff paths. The approach from the town to the mountain gate is short, and on the poster the regular street pattern gives way to the winding lines of valleys and trails.
To the north, the Wei River runs east to meet the Yellow River near Tongguan, and the railway and expressway follow the valley. A Huayin map poster captures this meeting of lowland and mountain in one frame. The town appears small and orderly beneath a landscape that dominates it.
The granite massif of Huashan rises sharply south of the town. On the map the dense streets stop there, and a sparse network of mountain paths takes over.
North of the town the land flattens into the Wei valley, a broad farming plain crossed by field roads and waterways that give it a fine texture.
Rail lines and an expressway run east to west along the valley floor. They draw long parallel lines across the plain below the mountain.

Koteā ko Huayin
Huayin matters to anyone who has climbed Huashan, whether to watch sunrise from the East Peak or to walk its cliff paths. The print holds the memory of arriving in the town before the climb, with the mountain rising above it.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for instance with the date of the climb. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Order either a $9 digital set in six print sizes or a printed poster.
