Te mapa
Jasidih is a town in the Deoghar district of Jharkhand, and its identity is closely tied to the railway. It is the junction where travellers heading to Deoghar, home of the Baidyanath temple, leave the main line, so for many pilgrims Jasidih is the first stop on the way.
On a map the tracks and station yard are the most prominent features, a long band of parallel lines with the town gathered along both sides. Roads cross the rail at a few points, and the streets beyond them are informal, bending around plots and older paths rather than following a grid.
A Jasidih map poster captures that railway geometry against the looser pattern of the town. The straight, repeated lines of the tracks contrast with the irregular lanes, and the branch towards Deoghar pulls the eye out of the frame. It is a portrait of a place defined by arrivals and departures.
Multiple parallel tracks around the junction form the widest and most regular shape on the map, a technical band running through the town.
A branch line leaves the junction towards Deoghar, used by large numbers of pilgrims travelling to the Baidyanath temple.
The town is stitched together at the few points where roads cross the railway, with informal lanes spreading out on either side.

Koteā ko Jasidih
Jasidih means something to people who grew up here and to many who passed through on pilgrimage. A map of the junction is a fitting reminder of journeys that started or ended on its platforms.
You can write your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, a family name, a festival year or a trip date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
