Te mapa
Kaambooni lies at the far southern tip of Somalia's coast, in the Lower Juba region, close to the border with Kenya. From above, the defining feature is the shoreline. Pale water meets the land along a gently curving coast, with sand, low vegetation and a small cluster of streets and buildings near the sea.
This stretch of coast faces the Indian Ocean and belongs to a chain of low coral shores and small islands running south towards Kenya. Settlements here have long lived from fishing and coastal trade. Detailed information about the town is limited, and this page does not try to add to it. The map shows only what can be seen from above.
A Kaambooni map poster is mostly an image of a coastline: the sweep of the shore, the texture of reefs and shallows, and a settlement at the water's edge. In black and white the boundary between land and ocean becomes a clear, graphic line, simple but distinctive.
The shore curves along the edge of the Indian Ocean. It is the strongest line on the poster, dividing the frame into land and open water.
Low islands and shallow water lie along this part of the coast. On a wider framing they add small scattered shapes offshore.
The built-up area is small and sits close to the shore. Only a few roads lead inland, so most of the frame is coast and open land.

Koteā ko Kaambooni
For members of the Somali diaspora with roots on the southern coast, this map is a reminder of a place far away and seldom pictured. It also works simply as a clean, minimal coastline print.
