Te mapa
Kadikkād is in central Kerala, on the low coastal land not far from the Arabian Sea. From above, it looks very different from a compact town. Houses are spread among coconut palms and gardens, each on its own plot, and narrow lanes wind between them in an irregular network.
The map has few straight lines. Roads follow old paths and plot boundaries, and ponds, paddy fields and small water channels appear throughout, adding open shapes to the dense green. This scattered, garden-like pattern is typical of settlement along the Kerala coast, where villages often merge into one another without a clear edge.
Kadikkād is a residential and agricultural area, so its map shows everyday coastal Kerala instead of famous landmarks. A Kadikkād map poster captures the winding lanes, the scattered homesteads and the water, making a personal piece for families with roots in the area, including many who now live abroad.
Narrow roads curve between house plots and gardens, forming an irregular, branching network with very few straight lines.
Houses stand on their own plots under palm cover rather than in rows, giving the map an even, spread-out texture.
Ponds, paddy fields and small channels break up the settled land, reflecting the wet, low-lying coastal plain.

Koteā ko Kadikkād
For Keralites living far from home, a map of their village can mean a great deal. This poster keeps the lanes and water of Kadikkād in view, whether it hangs in the family house or in a flat on another continent.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family house name or a year, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, or you can order a framed print.
