Te mapa
Kahone lies in the Kaolack Region of central Senegal, just east of the city of Kaolack. For centuries it was the capital of the Kingdom of Saloum, one of the historic Serer and Wolof states of the region, and it is still associated with that royal past. Today it sits within the wider urban area around Kaolack.
On the map, Kahone appears as a mix of dense neighbourhoods and more open ground, with roads connecting it to Kaolack to the west. The Saloum river valley and its flat, low-lying land lie close by, and the surrounding countryside is part of Senegal's groundnut basin, with fields stretching away on every side.
A Kahone map poster presents a place of historical significance in a restrained form: the street pattern, the roads toward Kaolack, and the open land of the Saloum region. It is a thoughtful choice for anyone connected to the history of Saloum or with family ties to the area.
Main roads link Kahone westward to Kaolack, forming the strongest lines on the poster and showing how closely the old capital is tied to the modern city.
Blocks and compounds gather along the roads in irregular patterns, creating a varied texture that shifts from dense to open toward the edges.
Flat, low ground of the Saloum valley lies nearby, giving the poster wide open areas that set off the built-up streets.

Koteā ko Kahone
Kahone carries the memory of the Saloum kingdom, and for many families it is a place of origin and identity. A map poster offers a simple, dignified way to keep that connection present at home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a meaningful date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the warm tones of the region.
