Te mapa
Kanda is a town in Fukuoka Prefecture on the eastern coast of northern Kyushu, facing the Suō-nada sea just south of Kitakyushu. Its map is split between the sea and the land. Straight-edged reclaimed ground and port facilities line the coast, and the older town and farmland occupy the plain behind, with wooded hills rising to the west.
The waterfront is dominated by industry. Kanda is home to a large Nissan car plant, and much of the reclaimed land is taken up by factory sites, quays and roads serving them. Kitakyushu Airport sits on a man-made island just offshore to the north, a strip of land in the open sea.
A Kanda map poster shows a modern industrial coast on a human scale: the geometric shapes of the port and factories, the smaller grid of the older town and the soft contours of the hills. It is an unusual, strongly graphic subject for a map.
Straight-edged land reclaimed from the sea forms the shoreline, with quays and industrial sites giving the coast a sharp, geometric outline.
Harbour basins and piers cut into the coast, handling cargo for the local industry and shaping the eastern edge of the map.
Behind the industrial belt, the older town and farmland occupy the coastal plain, while forested hills rise to the west.

Koteā ko Kanda
Kanda is a map for people who work at the port or plant, for families in the town and for those who appreciate industrial landscapes. Its straight coastline and harbour shapes make a strong, modern poster.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the industrial coast particularly well. HD files cost $9, or order a matte print with an optional frame.
