Te mapa
Kinna is the seat of Mark Municipality in Västra Götaland, in southwestern Sweden, south of Borås. The town lies in the valley of the Viskan river, and its layout follows the water. The centre and main roads run along the valley floor, and residential areas climb onto the wooded slopes on either side.
Kinna and its surroundings were once a centre of the Swedish textile industry, with weaving mills powered by the river. Some of those industrial buildings still stand. The neighbouring settlements of Skene and Örby have grown so close to Kinna that the three now form an almost continuous built-up area along the valley.
A Kinna map poster traces a long, valley-shaped town. The Viskan winds through the middle of the frame, and streets branch up the hillsides in the curving loops typical of Swedish suburbs. Lakes and forest press in at the edges, leaving the river corridor as the clear spine of the design.
The Viskan runs the length of the town and organises everything around it. Its meandering course gives the map a strong, flowing central line.
Old mill sites along the river mark the town's industrial past. On the map they sit close to the water, where the river once powered the looms.
Residential streets curve up the slopes on both sides of the valley in loops and cul-de-sacs, adding a softer, rounded texture around the straighter centre.

Koteā ko Kinna
Kinna is home for many families in the Mark area, and for others it is where a first job, a school or a summer began. A map of the town and its river is a restrained way to mark that connection in a Scandinavian interior.
Add names, a date or a short phrase to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with a wooden frame as an option.
