Narrow residential streets cover most of the city in a closely packed mesh. From above it reads almost like a texture.

Te mapa
Kitanagoya lies directly north of Nagoya on the low, level ground of the Nōbi Plain. There are almost no hills to shape it, so the map is made of a fine, even network of residential lanes. Small rivers and drainage channels cross that network, and the embankments run as long, slightly curving lines.
A railway line runs north–south through the city and links it to central Nagoya. Its stations sit at the centre of small clusters of denser streets. Between the built-up areas, a few remaining patches of farmland still appear in the pattern, a reminder of how recently much of the plain was covered in rice fields.
The city was formed in 2006 when the towns of Nishiharu and Shikatsu merged. It is home to a museum dedicated to everyday life in the Shōwa era. A Kitanagoya map poster shows the finely divided suburban plain, with its rail line and channels as the few long threads running through it.
Narrow residential streets cover most of the city in a closely packed mesh. From above it reads almost like a texture.
Waterways and embankments cross the flat plain in long, gentle curves, providing the few flowing lines in an otherwise even pattern.
Around each station on the north–south railway, the streets become denser, giving the map a sequence of small centres.

Koteā ko Kitanagoya
Kitanagoya is a commuter home for many people who work in Nagoya. The poster shows where daily life actually happens, rather than a skyline everyone else already knows.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example in Japanese romanisation or with a special date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
