Te mapa
Ko Samui is one of the most recognisable island shapes in Thailand: a roughly rounded landmass in the Gulf of Thailand, with a coast of bays and headlands. On the map almost all the streets hug the shore. A ring road loops the whole island, and settlements and resorts line it like a necklace.
The interior tells a different story. It is hilly and largely forested, crossed by only a handful of roads, so the centre of the poster stays open while the edges fill with detail. Beach areas such as Chaweng on the east coast and Lamai to the south show the densest street networks, and the airport sits near the northeastern tip.
A Ko Samui map poster frames the whole island against the sea, and the contrast between a busy coastline and a quiet interior makes a strong graphic image. It works well as a souvenir of a trip, a honeymoon or a longer stay, and it reads clearly even at smaller print sizes.
A single main road circles the island near the shore, tying every beach and village together. On paper it draws a clear loop that echoes the coastline.
The east and southeast coasts carry the island's densest street networks behind long sandy bays, the busiest stretches of the whole map.
The forested centre of the island has few roads, so it appears as an open space surrounded by coastal detail, giving the poster its balance.

Koteā ko Ko Samui
Samui holds a particular place for a lot of travellers, whether as a first long trip, a wedding or a season spent working there. A map of the whole island, with its ring road and bays, is a calm reminder rather than a loud holiday photo.
