Te mapa
Kottagūdem lies in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district in the east of Telangana, in hilly, forested country not far from the Godavari river. It is best known as the headquarters of the Singareni Collieries Company, the long-established coal mining enterprise of the region, and much of the town's layout reflects that industrial role.
From above the town does not grow outward from a single centre. It is a string of separate clusters: an older market area, residential colonies built for mine workers and staff, and industrial sites linked by roads and a railway line. Green gaps of scrub and woodland fill the space between these pieces, and the whole reads as a loose mosaic.
A Kottagūdem map poster shows how closely work and home have been tied together here. Planned colonies with regular blocks sit next to informal lanes, and the railway threads between them toward the mines. It is an unusual subject for wall art, and a meaningful one for families whose lives have followed the coal seams of the Godavari valley.
Planned housing colonies built around the mining company show up as small patches of regular streets, clearly different from the older, more irregular market lanes.
A rail line runs through the town toward the coalfields. It forms one of the few long, continuous lines on the map and ties the scattered clusters together.
Wooded hills and open ground surround the settlements, so the built-up area breaks into separate islands with plenty of breathing space around each.

Koteā ko Kottagūdem
Many families trace a generation or more of work in the Singareni mines to Kottagūdem, and a map of the colonies and lanes they knew makes a quietly personal gift. It suits a home office, a family room or a relative who has since moved away.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are editable, so you can add a colony name, a year or a short dedication. Pick one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to match the room it will hang in.
