Te mapa
Kpandu sits in Ghana's Volta Region, not far from the long, branching shoreline of Lake Volta, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. On the map the town is a network of streets spreading across rolling ground, with main roads leading out to neighbouring towns and down toward the water. Around it, the open countryside is crossed by thin tracks and dotted with smaller settlements.
The area looks toward the lake. Fishing and lake transport have long been part of local life, and the shoreline nearby breaks into inlets and creeks that give the regional map a feathered, intricate edge. Kpandu is also well known in Ghana for its pottery tradition, which has made the town's name familiar far beyond the Volta Region.
A Kpandu map poster brings the town's street pattern into focus: a dense core of roads that loosens toward the edges, with routes leaving in several directions. Rendered in black and white, the simple layout becomes a calm, graphic image, and it is a meaningful one for anyone whose family story leads back to this part of Ghana.
The reservoir's irregular western shore lies close to the town, with inlets and creeks that give the wider regional map a detailed, branching outline.
Main routes leave the town centre in several directions and link Kpandu to surrounding communities, forming a clear star-like pattern from above.
Beyond the built-up area, farmland and scattered villages spread out, joined by fine lines of tracks and minor roads.
