Te mapa
Kulittalai lies in Karur district of Tamil Nadu, on the southern bank of the Kaveri as it flows east across the plains toward Tiruchirappalli. From above, the river dominates the frame as a wide band of sand and braided channels. The town gathers along its edge in a compact pattern of streets that quickly thins into farmland.
Around the built-up area, irrigation channels and narrow field boundaries create a fine pattern across the fertile river plain, much of it planted with crops such as paddy and banana. A railway line and a main road run through the town roughly parallel to the river, adding firm straight lines. A Kulittalai map poster shows how closely the town is tied to the water that feeds its fields.
The town is known for the Kadambavaneswarar temple, an old Shiva shrine near the river, and for its position on the route between Karur and Tiruchirappalli. The Kaveri remains at the centre of local life, both for the agriculture it sustains and for the religious occasions held along its banks.
The broad riverbed runs along the northern edge of town, its sandbanks and shifting channels forming the largest and most striking shape on the map.
Canals and field channels spread across the plain south of the river, drawing a fine web of lines between farm plots and small villages.
A compact street pattern sits between the river and the railway, which crosses the map as a straight line linking Karur with Tiruchirappalli.

Koteā ko Kulittalai
A map of Kulittalai is a quiet reminder of home for families from the Kaveri valley who now live in Chennai, Bengaluru or abroad. The river's wide, horizontal form gives the poster a calm balance on the wall.
