From above, long, straight arterial roads enclose large suburban blocks, and curving residential streets, ponds and retention lakes fill the spaces between them. The Gulf beaches lie a short drive to the west.
The Pinellas Trail, a long rail-trail built on a former railway corridor, runs through the city and appears on the map as a narrow, continuous line. The trail follows a former railway alignment through Largo. It is a narrow, continuous line connecting the city with its neighbours up and down the peninsula.
