Valley setting
Hills close in around the town, so the built-up area follows the lower ground. The map shows a clear boundary between valley floor and slopes.

Te mapa
Lenbe, also written Limbé, lies in the Nord department of Haiti, in a fertile valley southwest of Cap-Haïtien. Mountains rise on several sides, and the town sits on the flatter ground along the Limbé River, where the main national road passes on its way north to the coast. Slopes and water give the map a natural frame.
From above, the centre is a tight arrangement of streets along the road, with houses spreading across the valley floor and up the lower hillsides. Beyond the town, small plots and tracks are scattered across the countryside, and the river's curves become the strongest natural line on the page.
A Lenbe map poster is a portrait of a valley town at human scale: a main road, a river, a few dense blocks and the green country around them, drawn in black and white. The town is also known for the Musée de Guahaba, a small museum of Taíno and colonial-era objects that surprises many first-time visitors.
Hills close in around the town, so the built-up area follows the lower ground. The map shows a clear boundary between valley floor and slopes.
The national road linking Port-au-Prince with Cap-Haïtien runs through Lenbe. It forms the town's main axis and the longest continuous line on the map.
The river winds along the valley near the town. Its curves are a soft natural counterpoint to the straighter lines of streets and roads.

For Haitians abroad with family in the Nord department, a map of Lenbe is a way to keep their hometown in the room. It shows the road home, the river, and the neighbourhood where the family house stands.
The title can read Lenbe or Limbé, the subtitle can carry a name or a date, and you can keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles and order HD files for $9 or a printed poster, framed if you like.
