Te mapa
Loncoche lies in the south of the Araucanía Region, between Temuco and Valdivia. On the map it is a compact grid of streets with the Pan-American Highway, Route 5, running along its edge and the southern railway passing through town. The land around it is a mix of pasture, farmland and wooded hills that rise gently on either side of the valley.
The street pattern is regular and clearly bounded, with straight blocks lined up against the highway and the rail corridor. Beyond them, rural roads and small rivers wander across the valley floor. The neat town plan and the looser countryside around it give the map a balanced structure, with a firm centre and softer edges.
Loncoche is a service town for the surrounding farms and a stop on the road south toward the lakes and volcanoes of southern Chile. A Loncoche map poster presents the town as it is: a small grid held between road, railway and rolling land. Most of its daily life happens within a few blocks of those two transport lines.
The Pan-American Highway runs past the town as its boldest line. It is part of the long road that crosses Chile from north to south.
The southern railway runs through Loncoche and adds a second strong line that parallels the highway and anchors the grid of streets.
Small rivers and rural roads cross the open farmland around the town, and their curving lines soften the edges of the map.

For people from Loncoche now living in Santiago or abroad, a map of the town is a quiet reminder of home: the highway, the station, the streets that run out into the fields. It also suits travellers who remember the road south.
