Te mapa
Lukaya is a town in Uganda's Central Region, in Kalungu District, on the main highway between Kampala and Masaka. It lies just south of the equator. On a map, the highway is the town's spine: streets and plots spread out on either side, and the road continues in both directions toward the capital and the south-west.
The land around Lukaya is low and green, with wetlands and papyrus swamps typical of the country near Lake Victoria alongside small farms. Travellers on the highway know the town for its roadside vendors selling grilled food and snacks to passing buses and cars, a lively reminder of how important the road is here.
A Lukaya map poster shows a town that grew along a route. Its streets are loose and practical, the wetlands leave soft open spaces, and the highway holds everything together in one strong line. It is a simple, honest portrait of a Ugandan road town.
The main road runs straight through Lukaya and acts as the town's backbone, with streets and buildings arranged along it.
Swampy, low-lying land near the town breaks up the built-up area and leaves soft, open shapes on the map.
Lukaya lies only a short distance south of the equator, a fact you can highlight with the coordinates line on the poster.

For Ugandans from Kalungu and Masaka, and for anyone who has travelled that highway many times, Lukaya is a familiar point on the journey. The poster turns that memory into a clean, personal image.
