Te mapa
Lumphat lies on the Srepok River in Ratanakiri, Cambodia's north-eastern province. It was once the provincial capital, before the administration moved north to Banlung, and today it is a small district town. From above, the settlement is modest: a handful of streets near the river, a road heading north, and wide stretches of forest and farmland beyond.
The Srepok is the defining feature of the map. It flows broad and slow through the district, with sandbars, islands and side channels that change with the seasons. The river carries water from Vietnam's Central Highlands west toward the Mekong, and its curving double banks give the composition a strong horizontal sweep.
To the south lies the Lumphat Wildlife Sanctuary, a large protected area of dry forest, and the district was heavily bombed during the war years around 1970. A Lumphat map poster doesn't dwell on that history, but the quiet layout of river, roads and scattered villages reflects a place shaped by distance and slow recovery.
The wide river dominates the map. Its banks, sandbars and channels form a flowing band that runs from edge to edge and anchors the whole composition.
The small cluster of streets was once the seat of the province, before the administration moved to Banlung. Today it reads as a compact point beside the water.
Beyond the settlement, sparse tracks run out into dry forest and farmland. Much of the frame stays open, which gives the poster a calm, uncluttered feel.

Koteā ko Lumphat
Lumphat appeals to travellers who have followed the Srepok through Ratanakiri, to researchers and conservation workers, and to people with family ties to the north-east. It is a map for people who value remote places over famous ones.
