Luwingu Map Poster & Print
Luwingu is the administrative centre of its district in Zambia's Northern Province, on the high plateau between the great lakes and wetlands of the north. The surrounding land is mostly woodland and farmland, and from above the town is a modest cluster where a few roads meet before spreading out again.
The Bangweulu wetlands lie to the south, and the whole region is drained by streams heading toward that basin. On a map the result is a landscape of gentle slopes and thin watercourses, with Luwingu's streets appearing as a small, clearly defined node inside a large, open field.
