Te mapa
Lyubertsy begins just beyond Moscow's outer ring road to the southeast, and its map reads as part of the wider metropolitan fabric. The Ryazan railway line and the Novoryazanskoye highway run through the city on parallel alignments, dividing it into sections. Around them spread large residential districts of apartment blocks, industrial areas, and pockets of older low-rise housing, with patches of woodland at the edges.
The city has long been closely tied to the capital through commuting and industry, and it has grown significantly with new housing developments. It holds a place in space history: Yuri Gagarin studied at a vocational school in Lyubertsy before moving on to aviation training, a connection the city commemorates. Today it functions both as a residential suburb and an independent centre.
A Lyubertsy map poster shows the typical energy of a near-Moscow city. The rail and highway corridors form strong diagonal lines, the apartment districts create large, repeated blocks, and the green belts and ponds soften the edges. In black and white, it becomes a clear portrait of how the capital's growth has shaped the towns directly around it.
The Ryazan railway and the Novoryazanskoye highway run side by side through the city, creating a bold corridor that organises the entire map.
Large residential areas of apartment buildings form repeated block patterns with courtyards and internal roads, a characteristic texture of Moscow's suburbs.
The city's western edge lies close to the outer ring road, where Lyubertsy's streets merge into Moscow's own network.

Lyubertsy is home to many who commute into Moscow and many more who grew up in its courtyards. A map of the city captures that everyday geography, the station, the highway and the familiar blocks, in a form that suits any modern interior.
