Te mapa
Manuel Ojinaga, usually just called Ojinaga, is a town in northeastern Chihuahua on the Rio Grande, directly across from Presidio, Texas. It sits near the point where the Río Conchos, coming from the interior of Chihuahua, joins the Rio Grande, in a wide desert valley.
The town is laid out on a mostly regular grid set back from the river, with the international bridge linking it to Presidio. Irrigated fields follow the river bottoms, while dry hills and desert rise around the valley. This stretch of the border is remote, far from the larger crossings.
A Manuel Ojinaga map poster shows the grid, the green strip of the river valley and the curve of the two rivers meeting. The international line runs down the Rio Grande's channel, so one print holds two countries and two towns connected by a single bridge.
The Río Conchos joins the Rio Grande near the town, and the curves of the two rivers make an elegant shape across the lower part of the frame.
A road bridge crosses the Rio Grande to Presidio, Texas, and on the map it is the only link between the two grids on either side of the border.
Ojinaga's streets form a fairly regular grid set back from the river, an orderly pattern that stands out against the open desert around it.
