Te mapa
Mī’ēso is a town in the Oromiya region of eastern Ethiopia, close to the boundary with the Somali region. It grew up along the transport corridor from Addis Ababa toward Dire Dawa and Djibouti. The map shows how much that route matters: the town is organised around the main road and the railway, and most streets run parallel to or across them.
Mī’ēso has long been a stop on the railway line to Djibouti, which shaped its role as a trading and transit point. The surrounding land is dry lowland, lightly settled. So once you leave the town's core, the map shows little more than tracks, seasonal watercourses and the long straight lines of the transport routes.
A Mī’ēso map poster is a portrait of a corridor town. The railway and highway run through the frame in firm lines, and the settlement gathers around them. It is a clean, linear composition, and a meaningful one for anyone whose journeys or family history pass through here.
The railway toward Dire Dawa and Djibouti crosses the town. It is one of the strongest lines on the map and a key reason the town exists.
The main road runs alongside the railway, and shops, homes and side streets have grown up along it in a long, linear pattern.
Past the edge of town, dry country and seasonal streams fill the map with pale, open space that frames the settlement.

Mī’ēso is a waypoint for travellers and home for people along the eastern corridor. A map of it keeps that connection visible, whether for someone born here or someone who remembers the journey.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a name or date. Then pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
