Te mapa
Motosu has an unusual shape on the map. Its southern part lies on the flat Nōbi Plain, where houses, rice fields and small roads form a dense, even pattern. From there the city stretches far north, following the narrow valley of the Neo River deep into the mountains of western Gifu.
Far up that valley is the Usuzumi-zakura, an ancient cherry tree often counted among Japan's three great cherry trees. It draws visitors each spring. The valley also gives its name to the Neodani Fault, which ruptured during the great Mino–Owari earthquake of 1891. A Motosu map poster can follow the river from plain to mountain.
The southern plain and northern valley feel like two different maps. Below, there is a fine mesh of streets and paddies. Above, a single road and river thread through steep forested terrain. Framing chooses which story the print tells: the settled lowland or the long journey upstream.
The river runs north through a narrow mountain valley. Road and water follow it side by side, creating a long, winding line through the forest.
The southern part of the city is flat and densely settled. Streets and rice fields form a fine, even texture there.
Up the valley stands the famous Usuzumi-zakura. It is a meaningful place to centre the frame for anyone who has visited in spring.

Koteā ko Motosu
A Motosu map suits people who come for the cherry blossoms, as well as families from the plain or the mountain villages. It shows a place where rice country and mountains meet within one city boundary.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the date of a spring visit, and set the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
