Te mapa
Nagareyama sits in northwestern Chiba Prefecture, and the Edo River forms its western edge, separating it from Saitama. On a map that river is a long, gently curving boundary. East of it, the city mixes older low-rise districts, pockets of woodland and farmland, and planned residential areas, with no single dominant downtown.
The city has two characters. Near the river, the older town grew as a river port and became known for producing mirin, the sweet rice wine used in Japanese cooking. It was also here, in 1868, that the Shinsengumi commander Kondō Isami was taken into custody. The small Ryutetsu Nagareyama Line still runs to this part of town.
Further east, the Tsukuba Express opened in 2005 and brought new stations, wide roads and carefully planned neighbourhoods designed around families and green space. A Nagareyama map poster captures both sides: the irregular streets by the Edo River, the newer, more regular layouts around the stations, and the rail lines crossing the city in several directions.
The river runs along the whole western side of the city in a long curve with wide embankments. On the map it forms a strong natural border that anchors the composition.
The line crosses the city on a diagonal, and newer districts cluster around its stations. Their streets are wider and more orderly than the older lanes near the river.
The JR Musashino Line, the Tobu Urban Park Line and the short Ryutetsu line cross Nagareyama as well, so the drawing has a network of fine straight tracks between the neighbourhoods.

Koteā ko Nagareyama
Many people moved to Nagareyama to start a household, and many others grew up in the older streets by the river. A map of the city marks that chapter of life simply, whether it is the first flat, a new house near the station, or a childhood neighbourhood.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a move-in date or the family name, and adjust the coordinates line. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries, including Japan.
