Te mapa
Namioka lies in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture, at the northern end of Honshu. It was a town in its own right until 2005, when it merged into Aomori City. It still reads as its own place on the map, a modest centre with its station and streets, surrounded by open farmland.
The area is known for apples. Aomori is Japan's largest apple-growing prefecture, and around Namioka the orchards cover the land in a regular pattern of small plots and access lanes. Winters here are long and snowy, and the landscape shifts between white fields and dense green through the year.
A Namioka map poster sets the compact town centre against that wide rural setting. The railway draws a firm line through the area, the town streets gather around it, and the orchard lanes spread outward in a fine, even texture. It is a quiet map of northern Japan, rooted in farming and seasons.
Apple orchards surround the town in small rectangular plots, creating a gentle, repeating texture across the outer map.
The rail line passes through Namioka, a strong continuous stroke that ties the small town centre to the rest of Aomori.
The former town's centre is a small, dense cluster of streets, clearly distinct from the farmland that surrounds it.

Koteā ko Namioka
For families from Tsugaru, or for anyone who has spent an apple harvest or a winter in Aomori, Namioka is a very specific kind of home. A calm map captures it without sentimentality.
Add your own title and subtitle, in Japanese if you prefer, a date on the coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
