Te mapa
Nanao lies on the eastern side of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, facing Nanao Bay. From above, the coastline dominates: the city follows the curve of the bay, with harbour areas, piers and seaside roads, and hills rising behind. Across the water sits Notojima, an island linked to the mainland by long bridges.
Nanao has served as a port since early times and was once the seat of the Noto province government. Wakura Onsen, a hot-spring resort on the bay shore, is one of the best-known in the region, and the Noto area has a strong tradition of lacquerware and seasonal festivals.
A Nanao map poster brings together sea, coast and town in a single composition. The bay's calm shape, the island to the north and the bridges spanning the water give the print strong lines, while the city streets fill the shore in a narrow, curving band.
The sheltered bay curves around the city, forming the main outline of the map. Its smooth coastline contrasts with the dense harbour district.
Long bridges connect the mainland to Notojima island. On the poster they appear as clean strokes crossing open water, an unusual and striking detail.
The hot-spring town lies along the bay's edge, its hotels and streets lining the water in a narrow strip that follows the coast.

Koteā ko Nanao
Nanao is a place people visit for the hot springs and the quiet of the Noto coast, and one that many locals are deeply tied to. A map of the bay and island is a calm, lasting reminder.
Add a title and subtitle, such as a family name or a trip date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from five styles; Blueprint suits the bay and bridges, Paper softens the coastline.
