Te mapa
Norzagaray sits where the flat rice country of Bulacan meets the first ridges of the Sierra Madre. On a map the town centre is a small, compact cluster of streets near the Angat River. Beyond it, roads thin out quickly into winding lines that follow valleys and contours toward the east, and the empty space between them is mostly hills and forest.
The town is best known for water. The Angat Dam and the Ipo Dam are both within its boundaries, and together they supply much of the drinking water for Metro Manila. From above, their reservoirs are irregular, many-fingered shapes pressed into the hills, and they look very different from the neat blocks and barangay roads further downstream.
A Norzagaray map poster shows that contrast clearly: a settled lowland edge on one side and a large, mostly unmarked upland on the other. The river connects the two, running out of the mountains and past the town before it continues west across the plain toward Manila Bay.
The river leaves the hills and runs past the town centre. Its curving line is the main thread that links Norzagaray's upland reservoirs to the lowland plain further west.
The Angat and Ipo dams hold back branching reservoirs that follow the shape of the valleys. They are the largest open shapes anywhere on the map of the municipality.
East of the town, the road network gets sparse and winding. Lines follow the ridges and valleys, and they mark where the densely settled plain gives way to forested mountains.

Koteā ko Norzagaray
For families from Norzagaray, and for anyone who knows where Manila's water comes from, this map is a quiet reminder of home. The ordinary grid of the town sits right next to the much larger landscape it depends on.
You can add a family name, a date or the town's coordinates as the title, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters are shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
