Te mapa
Bagong Silang is a barangay in the northern part of Caloocan, at the edge of Metro Manila near the boundary with Bulacan. It developed largely as a resettlement area from the 1980s onward. From above it is a tightly packed field of small residential blocks, divided into numbered phases and sections that give the street pattern a repeated, planned look.
It is often cited as the most populous barangay in the country, with more residents than many Philippine cities. On the map this density shows as an intricate mesh of narrow streets and lanes. Only main roads, schools, churches and small open spaces break it up, appearing as scattered gaps in the pattern.
At its edges the settlement meets neighbouring subdivisions and less developed ground. A Bagong Silang map poster suits residents and former residents who know its phases by heart. It records a very large community at a scale where individual streets can still be seen.
The barangay is divided into phases laid out at different times. Their slightly different block orientations are visible as distinct patches on the map.
Very small blocks and narrow lanes fill almost the entire frame. They create one of the finest and most intricate street textures in Metro Manila.
A few wider roads cross the area and link it to the rest of Caloocan and to Bulacan. They form the heaviest lines against the fine pattern of lanes.

Koteā ko Bagong Silang
For the many families who have built their lives in Bagong Silang, a map of the barangay honours a community larger than many cities. It works just as well for those who have moved abroad and want a piece of home on the wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed to show a phase, a family name or a year. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order either the $9 HD files or a printed poster on matte paper.
