Numazu Map Poster & Print

Numazu stretches along the northern shore of Suruga Bay where the Izu Peninsula begins. On a map, the coastline defines everything: a smooth curve of shore to the west, a working harbour near the river mouth, and a more rugged, indented coast heading south toward Izu.

The Kano River flows through the city centre and into the bay, dividing the streets into two halves joined by bridges. Along the western shore, the Senbonmatsubara pine grove forms a long strip that separates the town from the sea.

A Numazu map poster brings these features into balance. The port is known for its fish markets and dried fish, and the grounds of the former Numazu Imperial Villa sit by the water. On clear days Mount Fuji appears to the north, though the map itself is all shoreline and streets.

The Kano River

The river runs through the middle of the city before meeting Suruga Bay, forming a strong curved line that divides the dense central streets into distinct halves.

02

Senbonmatsubara

A long band of coastal pines follows the shore west of the centre, appearing on the poster as a narrow open strip between the streets and the sea.

03

Numazu Port

Near the river mouth, the harbour's breakwaters and basins give the coast a precise, angular edge that contrasts with the smooth curve of the bay.

He mapa ʻe maʻuhiga

Numazu draws people who love seaside towns with a working harbour, as well as fans who know its coastline from anime. The balance of river, bay and pine shore makes a poster that feels calm and open.

You can add a title, a personal subtitle and the coordinates line, and choose among five styles, including Blueprint for a harbour feel. Digital files cost $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
