Oak Ridge is an unincorporated community in Orange County, Florida, south-west of downtown Orlando. The land is flat, and from above the area reads as a mix of straight residential streets, larger commercial parcels along main roads, and small lakes scattered through the neighbourhoods. Highways and arterials cross it in long lines, connecting it to the rest of the metropolitan area.
Its position between central Orlando and the tourism corridors to the south shaped its growth, and much of the housing dates from the postwar expansion of the region.
