Te mapa
Omagh is the county town of County Tyrone, and its map starts with water. The Camowen and the Drumragh meet here to form the River Strule, and the town grew up around that meeting point. From above, the rivers split the built-up area into sections, and bridges tie those sections together.
The older centre climbs from the river onto higher ground, so the main streets have a clear sense of direction on the map. Housing estates and newer roads spread out from that core into the surrounding farmland. Around them lie the green fields and low hills of west Tyrone, which press close to the town on every side.
An Omagh map poster keeps this layout easy to read. There is a meeting of rivers near the middle, a central spine running uphill, and a ring of suburbs that loosens into open country. The town is compact, so a whole-town view keeps plenty of detail without losing its overall shape.
The Camowen and the Drumragh join at Omagh to become the Strule. On the map the three channels form a clear Y shape that the whole town is arranged around.
The historic centre rises from the riverside onto a ridge, and the main street runs up that slope. It gives the centre a strong line on the map.
Past the housing estates, roads thin into the rural lanes of County Tyrone, and the poster's edges fill with the quiet pattern of field boundaries and farm tracks.
