Te mapa
Ōmiya sits in the hill country of northern Ibaraki, where the Kuji River runs south toward the Pacific through a broad, green valley. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets on the valley floor, with rice paddies spreading along the flats and wooded ridges closing in on either side. Since 2004 it has formed the core of the merged city of Hitachiōmiya.
The map has a clear hierarchy. The river draws the longest line, a railway follows the valley, and roads branch off into side valleys where settlements thin out into single lanes and farm tracks. Field edges and forest fill the remaining space, so the town centre appears as a denser knot of blocks surrounded by open, quiet ground.
An Ōmiya map poster works best for people who know the place from the ground: a childhood home, a family house, a stretch of river walked many times. In Classic black and white the valley floor stands out against the empty hills, while Paper or Sand soften the lines into something closer to an old survey sheet.
The Kuji River gives the map its main axis, a wide, gently curving line that sets the direction of the town and of the farmland spread around it.
The densest streets gather on flat land near the river, forming a small, readable centre before giving way to paddies and hillside forest.
The JR Suigun Line follows the valley through the area, a thin line that tracks the river and links the town south to Mito.

Koteā ko Ōmiya
This is a map for someone with a personal tie to a small place, the kind rarely found on a shop wall. The river and hills make a calm composition that suits a hallway, a study or a bedroom without demanding attention.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a date or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
