Te mapa
Paciran is a coastal district in Lamongan Regency, East Java, stretching along the island's northern shore where the land meets the Java Sea. Settlements line the coast road almost without a break. On the map they form a narrow band of dense housing, with fishing harbours at the waterline and dry, rocky hills rising just inland.
The area has deep roots in the spread of Islam on Java. The village of Drajat holds the tomb of Sunan Drajat, one of the Wali Songo, the nine saints traditionally credited with bringing Islam to the island, and it remains an important pilgrimage site. The coast is also known for Wisata Bahari Lamongan, a large seaside park at Tanjung Kodok.
A Paciran map poster follows the coast from end to end. The shoreline is the dominant edge of the composition, the coast road runs just behind it, and villages crowd between the two with their lanes running down to the water. Inland the pattern loosens quickly, and the hills become quiet, open space.
The Java Sea coast runs almost straight across the district, broken only by small headlands and harbours. It is the strongest and simplest line on the map.
A main road hugs the shore, and villages string along it one after another, their narrow lanes packed tightly between the road and the sea.
This small rocky headland, now home to a large seaside recreation park, shows on the map as a distinct knot where the shoreline bends.

Koteā ko Paciran
Paciran matters to pilgrims, to families who fish this coast, and to many people in East Java who spent weekends by the sea here. A map of the shoreline brings that coast indoors.
Set the title and subtitle yourself, perhaps with a village name or a date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download contains watermark-free 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files in six sizes.
