Te mapa
Palapye is in Botswana's Central District, about halfway between Gaborone and Francistown. On a map, the main north-south highway and the railway pass through side by side, and the town spreads out from them into wide, low-density neighbourhoods across flat, open land.
The town has grown quickly around two major institutions. The Morupule coal-fired power station, a key part of the national electricity supply, is nearby, and the Botswana International University of Science and Technology has its campus here. East of the town are the ruins of Old Palapye, the capital of Kgosi Khama III in the late nineteenth century.
A Palapye map poster shows long, straight roads, large plots and new streets reaching into the bush. The campus stands out as its own planned area, and the transport corridor forms a clear axis. The composition is open and airy, reflecting a town with room to grow.
The main highway and the railway run side by side through the town, forming its main axis and link to Gaborone and Francistown.
The Botswana International University of Science and Technology occupies a large, planned area that stands out from the surrounding residential streets.
Wide residential blocks and new roads extend into the flat surrounding bush, giving the map a spacious, loosely drawn edge.

Koteā ko Palapye
BIUST graduates, power-station staff and families from the Central District all have reasons to remember Palapye. A map of the town marks a place where studies, careers or homes began.
You can add a title such as a graduation year, write your own subtitle and edit the coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the files for $9 or order a matte print.
