Te mapa
Phú Thọ is a town in the midland region of northern Vietnam, where the flat plains of the Red River delta begin to rise into low, rounded hills. It served for a time as the administrative centre of its province before that role passed to Việt Trì. It keeps the feel of an older market town, with a compact centre and roads leading out into the countryside.
On a map the town mixes dense street blocks with open water. Small lakes and ponds sit between the neighbourhoods, and the edges soften into rice fields, gardens and wooded hillocks. The Red River, known here as the Thao, flows nearby, and the railway toward Lào Cai passes through, adding long straight lines to an otherwise organic pattern.
A Phú Thọ map poster shows the town at human scale: the tight streets around the centre, the ponds between them, and the hills and fields rising at the margins. It is a gentle, understated composition, suited to anyone who knows the region's quiet towns rather than its big cities.
A small core of dense streets and market blocks forms the heart of the map, with roads leading outward to villages and neighbouring towns.
Scattered bodies of water appear as clean shapes among the neighbourhoods, a common feature of northern Vietnamese towns built on low, wet ground.
The Hanoi–Lào Cai railway crosses the town in a long straight line, while the Thao River flows close by, giving the map two contrasting directions.

Koteā ko Phú Thọ
For people from Phú Thọ who have moved to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or abroad, a map of their hometown's streets can mean more than a photograph. It shows the whole place at once, in a form that ages well on a wall.
