River confluence
The Đà River joins the Red River at the district's northern edge. On the poster the meeting of two broad channels makes a strong, elegant shape at the top of the composition.

Te mapa
Ba Vì is the westernmost district of Hanoi, a largely rural area far from the city's dense centre. On a map it reads as a wedge of land bounded by water on two sides: the Đà River along the west and the Red River along the north, which join near its northern tip. Villages, rice fields and narrow lanes cover the lowlands between them.
Rising above all of this is Ba Vì mountain, a massif with three main peaks that gives the district its name. It is protected as a national park, and in Vietnamese legend it is the home of Tản Viên Sơn Thánh, the mountain spirit who battled the water god in a well-known story about floods. Ruins of a French-era hill station lie on its upper slopes.
A Ba Vì map poster is more landscape than street plan. The river edges form long, smooth curves, the villages appear as clusters of fine lines along dykes and roads, and the mountain area opens a broad, quiet space toward the south. It suits anyone who knows Hanoi's countryside rather than its Old Quarter.
The Đà River joins the Red River at the district's northern edge. On the poster the meeting of two broad channels makes a strong, elegant shape at the top of the composition.
The mountain and its national park occupy the southern part of the district. With few roads crossing it, the area appears as open ground surrounded by winding approach routes.
Along the rivers, settlements follow raised dykes and embankments, forming long, linear clusters. They show clearly how people here have arranged their lives around the water.

Koteā ko Ba Vì
Ba Vì speaks to people who grew up in its villages, to Hanoians who escape to the mountain on weekends, and to anyone drawn to the story of Tản Viên. The map offers a restful, open composition that feels very different from a crowded city plan.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a village name, a family surname or a date, and edit the coordinates line as needed. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as digital files for $9 or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
