Te mapa
Ba Dinh is one of the central urban districts of Hanoi, west of the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. On a map it is the most formal part of the capital. Broad, tree-lined boulevards were laid out here in the French colonial period, and large government compounds surround a wide open square at the centre. To the north the district reaches Truc Bach Lake and the southern shore of West Lake.
Ba Dinh Square is where Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence in 1945, and his mausoleum now stands on its western side, facing the open parade ground. The Presidential Palace, its gardens and the One Pillar Pagoda are close by. The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, fills a large rectangle just to the east.
The district also has quieter residential lanes, small lakes and dense neighbourhoods toward its western edge. A Ba Dinh map poster brings these layers together: the straight boulevards, the geometry of the square and the citadel, and the softer outlines of the lakes. The district is still the seat of Vietnam's government.

The remains of the imperial citadel form a large walled rectangle. Its gates and excavated grounds cover more than a thousand years of Vietnamese history.
Along the northern edge, a narrow causeway road separates Truc Bach Lake from the wide expanse of West Lake. The split between the two bodies of water is striking on the map.

Koteā ko Ba Dinh
Ba Dinh is where modern Vietnamese history is most visible. That makes it a meaningful map for people from Hanoi, for those who have lived or studied there, and for visitors who stood in the square during the daily flag ceremony.
Title it Ba Dinh or Hanoi, add a subtitle and a date, and choose one of five styles. Paper and Sand give the boulevards an older, archival look, while Noir turns the lakes into dark shapes. HD files are $9, and printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries.
