Te mapa
Phuket Town is the provincial capital on the east side of Phuket Island in southern Thailand, on the Andaman coast. It looks quite different from the beach strips on the island's west side. From above you see a tight old centre, roads spreading out toward the bay and the island's interior, and Khao Rang, a wooded hill on the northwest edge of town.
The town grew rich on tin mining in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Traders and workers from southern China shaped its old quarter, which is lined with Sino-Portuguese shophouses: narrow frontages, deep plots and covered walkways. To the south and east, mangroves and tidal channels meet the sea, and the land becomes more broken and watery.
A Phuket map poster shows the island's working town rather than a resort. The old streets form a close, fine-grained knot. Wider roads lead out toward the airport and the beaches, and the coastline breaks into inlets and mangrove edges. In black and white, the history and the coast sit together in one quiet frame.
The historic core is a compact cluster of narrow streets lined with long, thin shophouse plots, a dense pattern that stands out clearly from the newer districts around it.
A forested hill rises at the edge of town, an unbuilt patch where the road pattern curls around the slope before opening back into streets.
East of town, the shore breaks into tidal channels, mangroves and small inlets, giving the map an irregular, detailed edge against the bay.

Koteā ko Phuket
Many people remember Phuket for its beaches, but the town is where the island's story is kept. A print of its streets suits anyone who lived there, got married on the island, or keeps coming back to the Andaman coast.
You can change the title, add a subtitle such as a wedding date or a street name, and edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
