Te mapa
From above, Poços de Caldas sits on a high plateau in southern Minas Gerais. A near-circular rim of hills surrounds it, and geologists read that rim as the edge of an old volcanic caldera. The town fills the floor of the bowl. On the map, streets spread outward until they reach the slopes, where buildings thin out and the curve of the ridges takes over.
The centre grew around the thermal springs that gave the town its name and its long reputation as a spa resort. Gardens, bathhouses and old hotels sit close to the core, and beyond them the street pattern loosens into residential districts. On a Poços de Caldas map poster those green squares read as calm pauses among the tighter blocks of the historic centre.
The Serra de São Domingos rises above town. A statue of Christ stands on top, a cable car runs up to it, and it is a favourite viewpoint over the caldera. Past the edge of town, winding roads climb through the rim toward farms, reservoirs and waterfalls. These looser, more organic lines give the outer parts of the map a different rhythm from the planned centre.

The historic core grew around mineral springs and bathhouses. Its gardens and squares stand out as open spaces within the dense pattern of central blocks.

Koteā ko Poços de Caldas
Many people know Poços de Caldas from holidays, honeymoons and family trips to the springs, and the attachment tends to last long after they leave. A map of the caldera is a way to keep that setting, with the bowl of hills framing the streets you walked.
You can write the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, for example with the year of a visit. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital HD files cost $9 and cover six print sizes, or you can order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
