Te mapa
Mogi Guaçu is a city in the interior of São Paulo state, named after the river that runs through it. From above, the river is the organising element: it loops through the urban area in broad meanders, with wooded banks and floodplain fields forming a green ribbon that neighbourhoods on both sides have grown around.
The city has a long industrial history, especially ceramics. Tile and pottery makers have been part of the local economy for generations, and paper production is also important. Mogi Mirim lies just to the south-west, and the two towns almost form a single built-up area along the road between them.
A Mogi Guaçu map poster brings out the contrast between the river's curves and the regular blocks laid out in the newer districts. Large industrial sites appear as broad rectangles near the edges, and sugar cane and eucalyptus land spreads outward in wide agricultural parcels, filling the corners of the map with a quieter texture.
The Mogi Guaçu river loops through town in wide bends, with green banks forming a winding corridor across the map.
Development runs toward neighbouring Mogi Mirim, and the two towns meet along the connecting road corridor.
Ceramic and paper plants occupy large rectangular sites, standing out against the finer residential grid.
