Te mapa
Progreso de Obregón lies in the Valle del Mezquital, in the southwest of the state of Hidalgo, north of Mexico City. The valley is a broad, high plain, dry by nature but heavily irrigated, and from above it is a patchwork of cultivated plots crossed by roads and water channels.
The town itself follows the familiar Mexican pattern: a central square with a church, surrounded by a grid of blocks that extends outward until it meets the fields. The streets are straight and regular near the centre and become looser at the edges, where houses and farmland mix together and neighbouring communities are only a short drive away.
A Progreso de Obregón map poster shows that orderly grid framed by open agricultural land. The squares of the town and the rectangles of the fields echo one another, giving the image a calm geometric consistency. It is a clear, unfussy portrait of a valley town shaped by agriculture and by the steady work of irrigation.
The town centre is organised around a main square, with regular blocks spreading out from it. On the poster this grid is the clearest, most structured part of the map.
Around the town, straight field boundaries and channels divide the valley into plots, giving the outer frame a repeated, rectangular texture.
Roads cross the flat valley floor to nearby towns, drawing long, direct lines between the grids of neighbouring settlements.
