Te mapa
Puerto Cabezas, known in Miskito as Bilwi, lies on Nicaragua's Caribbean coast and serves as the regional capital of the North Caribbean Coast. The town occupies a flat stretch of shoreline, with a loose grid of streets running toward the water. Beyond the urban edge, the map opens into pine savanna, wetlands and lagoons that characterise this part of the Mosquito Coast.
The long pier reaching out into the sea is the town's most recognisable feature and appears on the map as a single straight line into open water. Puerto Cabezas also has a place in twentieth-century history: in 1961 it served as a launching point for the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. Today it remains a centre of Miskito culture and coastal trade.
A Puerto Cabezas map poster is a meaningful object for families from the coast and for those who have worked or travelled here. The drawing is simple and graphic: the line of the shore, the pier striking out into the Caribbean, and a town that thins gradually into savanna and water on its landward side.
A long pier extends from the town into the Caribbean, a single sharp line against open water and the most distinctive element of the whole composition.
The town sits right on the shoreline, so the coast forms one full side of the map, with streets ending where the land meets the sea.
Inland, sparse roads cross open pine savanna, while lagoons and wetlands near the coast appear as irregular shapes that soften the edges of the map.

Koteā ko Puerto Cabezas
The Caribbean coast of Nicaragua has its own languages, food and rhythms, and Bilwi sits at the heart of it. A poster of the town keeps that connection visible, whether for someone who was born here or someone who came to know it later.
You can write the title as Bilwi or Puerto Cabezas, add a subtitle and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles such as Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, shipped from partners in 30+ countries.
