Te mapa
Rio Pardo is one of the oldest towns in Rio Grande do Sul. In 1809 it became one of the four original municipalities of what was then the captaincy. Its location explains why it mattered so early: the town sits where the Rio Pardo flows into the Jacuí, a river that has long served as a route west from the Porto Alegre region.
On the map, the two rivers set the shape of the town. The older streets form a regular grid on the higher ground above the water, and the river channels border it with long, soft curves. Low, flat land along the banks separates the built-up area from the rivers themselves.
A Rio Pardo map poster lets the confluence take centre stage. The meeting of two rivers is one of the most readable forms in cartography, and in monochrome it gives the print a clear focal point. The old grid then adds a quieter rhythm around it.
The Rio Pardo runs into the Jacuí beside the town, and the confluence is the focal point of the composition. Two curving channels come together into one broader course.
The older part of town is laid out in regular blocks on higher ground above the rivers. It is an orderly pattern that contrasts with the loose shapes of the water.
Flat land along the Jacuí stays mostly open. On the print it creates a band of white space between the streets and the river.

Koteā ko Rio Pardo
The print suits people with roots in the Jacuí valley, or anyone drawn to towns shaped by rivers. The historical depth and the simple layout make it feel substantial on a wall without being crowded.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a family name or a founding year. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper and Sand suit the town's age well.
