Te mapa
Round Rock lies in Williamson County, just north of Austin, and has grown from a small railroad town into one of the larger suburbs of central Texas. The map shows a compact historic downtown near Brushy Creek, surrounded by a much larger web of curving subdivision streets, cul-de-sacs and wide arterial roads spreading out across the prairie.
The city takes its name from a large round rock in the bed of Brushy Creek, which marked a low-water crossing used by travellers and cattle drives in the nineteenth century. Today it is also known as the home of Dell Technologies, whose campus sits among the business districts along the highway corridors.
A Round Rock map poster captures both sides of the city: the short, regular blocks of the old downtown and the looping residential streets that define its newer neighbourhoods. The creek and the interstate cut through it all, giving the composition a clear structure that holds up well at larger sizes.
The creek winds east–west through the city, with parkland along much of its course, and passes the historic crossing where the round rock gave the town its name.
I-35 runs north–south through Round Rock, a strong straight axis flanked by frontage roads, shopping centres and the ramps of intersecting highways.
The historic centre keeps a small, regular street grid that stands out clearly among the larger curving subdivisions surrounding it on every side.

Koteā ko Round Rock
Round Rock is a common first home for families moving to the Austin area, and a map of it becomes a record of that move. The mix of old grid and new curves looks graphic on a wall and gives a sense of how the city has grown.
