Te mapa
Sakumona lies on the Greater Accra coast, between central Accra and the port city of Tema. From above, the area combines planned estate roads with more organic neighbourhoods. The streets end near a wide coastal lagoon, which cuts into the built-up area and opens toward the sea.
The Sakumo lagoon and its surrounding wetland are recognised as an important site for waterbirds. On the map, the lagoon breaks up the city's continuous urban spread, and its outline changes the pattern of streets around it. The busy coastal highway between Accra and Tema runs nearby and connects the area to both cities.
A Sakumona map poster captures an in-between place, neither central Accra nor Tema, with its own strong shape set by water. The regular estate blocks, the lagoon's soft outline and the nearby coastline give the print a clear sense of place. It is a thoughtful choice for anyone who has lived along this coast.
A broad coastal lagoon and wetland sit beside the neighbourhood. Its irregular outline forms the largest open shape on the map.
Planned residential estates add regular blocks and straight roads, which contrast with the curves of older, more organically grown areas.
Sakumona lies on the busy coastal corridor linking Accra and Tema. Major roads run nearby and connect it with both cities.
