Te mapa
Saltpond is a coastal town in Ghana's Central Region, on the Gulf of Guinea, between Cape Coast and Accra. It has a notable place in Ghana's political history: the United Gold Coast Convention was founded here in 1947, the movement that set the country on the road to independence. Offshore lies the Saltpond oil field, one of Ghana's early petroleum finds.
On the map, Saltpond is framed by water. The Atlantic coastline runs along one edge, and a lagoon lies close to the town. The older streets near the shore are close together, and newer areas spread inland along roads that eventually join the coastal highway. The meeting of sea, lagoon and streets makes a varied, well-balanced composition.
A Saltpond map poster turns that setting into a clean graphic. The shoreline is a strong edge, the lagoon is an open shape, and the streets fill the ground between. It's a considered way to remember a small coastal town with a large place in Ghana's history.
The coastline along the Gulf of Guinea forms a long, firm edge to the map. The town turns toward it, with streets leading down to the beach.
A lagoon near the town adds an open, irregular water shape. It contrasts with the denser street pattern and the straight line of the coast.
Roads lead inland from the older seaside streets to the coastal highway, connecting Saltpond with Cape Coast, Accra and the rest of the region.

Koteā ko Saltpond
Saltpond matters to people who grew up there and to anyone interested in the roots of Ghana's independence movement. The map is a restrained, respectful way to mark that connection.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with the year 1947 or a family name. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the coastal setting.
