Te mapa
Salvaterra occupies the eastern edge of Marajó, the vast island at the mouth of the Amazon in the state of Pará. Its map is framed by water on two sides: the wide Marajó Bay to the east and the Paracauari River to the north, across which lies the neighbouring town of Soure. The town itself is a loose grid of low streets set back from the shore.
Most visitors arrive by boat from Belém, landing at the port of Camará before continuing by road. The municipality includes beaches along the bay, among them Joanes, a village with the ruins of a colonial-era Jesuit church. Water buffalo, famously common across Marajó, graze on the flat grasslands that open up behind the town.
A Salvaterra map poster works best with generous framing, so the shoreline and the river become the main lines of the design. The town's streets fill one corner, the water takes up the rest, and the result is a spare composition that recalls the scale of the Amazon estuary without needing any colour at all.
The eastern coast runs as a long, gently curving line where the town meets the bay, with sandy beaches set along its edge.
The river forms the northern boundary, separating Salvaterra from Soure and giving the map a clean, wide band of open water.
West of town the land flattens into open fields and wetlands, sparsely crossed by roads, leaving large quiet areas in the composition.

Koteā ko Salvaterra
Salvaterra is often the first place people see on Marajó, and its map holds that arrival: the crossing from Belém, the river, the light over the bay. It suits anyone who has travelled there, grew up there or loves places shaped more by water than by roads.
Blueprint and Noir give the design strong contrast, while Paper and Sand feel closer to the island's sandy shore; Classic black & white stays neutral. Add a custom title, a subtitle such as the date of your trip, and the coordinates line.
